Donald Rawlins

May 23, 1960 — June 7, 2018

Celebrating the life of Donald Rawlins, a Retired Financial Consultant and Resident of Mason, OH, who passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2018 while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Don is survived by his wife, Salli Rawlins (Hyde), his children, Matthew Rawlins, Michael Rawlins (Kevin Issler) and Phillip Rawlins, his siblings, Barbara Frazee, Delores & (William) Ruth, Wayne & (Sharon) Rawlins, Thomas & (Kay) Rawlins, Rosemary & (Emerson) Richmond, Beverly & (Gregory) Thompson, Cline & (Sally) Rawlins, Forrest & (Deborah) Rawlins. He is predeceased by his father & mother, Fhurman & Myrtle Rawlins, and Brother-In-Law, Donald Frazee.

Don was born on May 23, 1960 in Scioto County, OH to Fhurman & Myrtle Rawlins. He graduated from Cedarville University in 1983 with a degree in accounting and worked for Clayton L. Scroggins & Assoc. as a consultant until he retired in 2014. On December 11, 1982 he married Salli, his loving college girlfriend. On May 15, 1988, May 8, 1990, and May 4, 1992 respectively, he welcomed his three amazing sons, who were the joy of his life.

Don was an amazing father and loving husband. His heart was driven by the will to compete, whether it was playing tennis, or participating in triathlons and marathons. He loved to travel with his family and later in life with his wife. Second to none in his life was his love of the Lord. He was avidly devoted to his church in numerous roles over the years, and deep in devotion in his daily walk. He managed to touch the lives of everyone around him and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We take great joy in celebrating the life that he lived, knowing the way he lived it, and the life he will eternally be living.

Visitation will take place at Liberty Heights Baptist Church, 7904 Princeton Rd. Liberty Twp., Monday June 18th from 5pm until 8pm and Tuesday June 19th from 10am until Funeral Service at 11am. Pastor Brad Cunningham to Officiate. In memory of Donald, please direct all donations to Liberty Heights Baptist Church. Condolences to hodappfuneralhome.com
