To Carol and his sons, and family, please know that I mourn for this hard working man whose family was everything. The Lord has a special place reserved for him.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. But may the words of Jesus Christ be able to warm your hearts and allow your minds eye to see the promise found in John 5:28,29 come true. May these words bring an everlasting feeling of comfort to your hearts and allow you to see your selves welcoming him back into your arms again to hold and to cherish forever. Psalm 37:29. JW.org

As a single mother, I knew scouting would help my son in so many ways. I didn't realize the impact one scoutmaster could make. Of course when you have a man as committed as Dale was to these kids the impact was HUGE! I forever credit Dale with helping my son become the amazing man he is. Dale will be missed. My condolences to the family.

I am so at a loss of words... Dale was an awesome person, a wonderful father and husband. A great Scoutmaster and father figure to many scouts over the years. The best role model anyone could ever ask for.. a fine Christian who walked the walk.. You could not ask for anything more. I will be out of town on Saturday, but wanted to tell you all how much I appreciated his friendship over the years. Let me know if I can ever do anything for you!! Praying for you during this time... "You know, we are only here for a very short period of time, on our way to a much better place for eternity!" Until we meet him again... RIP Dale.

I have lost a friend and brother in scouting.  Dale taught me most of what I needed to know as a boy scout leader, and would do anything for the troop, even after he stepped down as scoutmaster.  He had a heart for helping all of our boys become young men, and believed all of them could become Eagles.  Many did.  His belief was infectious and if you were willing to do the work, he would help you get there.  Parking lot talk will never be the same.  He will be sorely missed by the Troop, who have lost a great leader, mentor and friend. Carol, Dale Jr. and Zach, you are in my thoughts and prayers! Dan Stegman Scoutmaster Troop 902
