Dorothy Baurenschub Brovey

Dorothy Baurenschub Brovey, 80, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. Dorothy was the beloved wife of 62 years of George Walter Brovey and loving mother of Susan Brovey, Michael Brovey, Sharon Brovey, Msgr. Steven Brovey of Charleston, S.C., Michelle Brovey and Alicia Brovey Woodrum.
Dorothy was born December 2, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. The daughter of the late Charles Baurenschub and Eleanor Montgomery Baurenschub. She was the youngest sister of the late Margaret Amelia Gilbert and Mary Virginia Schneehagen.
Dorothy was a faithful Roman Catholic with a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She loved to travel especially on pilgrimages to Rome and the Holy land. Dorothy was preceded in death by her granddaughter Leah Nicole Conway and daughter-in-law Barbara Ann Brovey. She was a beloved grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Dorothy was a beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews. The family is deeply grateful to the care she received from Mason Christian Village and Hospice of Cincinnati.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Hodapp Funeral Home 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42) West Chester, OH 45069 from 5 p.m. until the time of vigil 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday June 7, 2019 at St. Vivian Church 7600 Winton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45224 at 10 a.m. Christian Burial will take place at Gate of Haven Cemetery immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati P.O. Box 633597 Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597
