Georgianna McGowan

Georgianna Adams McGowan was ushered into the presence of her precious Savior,  December  15, 2018.  She was born July 12, 1920, in  Falmouth,  Kentucky to Everett Adams and Artie Dance Adams.  She married Clyne Lavern (Bill) McGowan July 8, 1942, who preceded her in death on April 18, 1971.

Georgianna and Bill had five children who they devoted their life and love to.  Surviving Georgianna are two sons, Jack of West Chester, Ohio and Doug (Renee) of Liberty Township, Ohio.   Two daughters also survive.  They are Pamela Berry (John),  Loveland, Ohio and Diana Carpenter (Tom), Bowling Green, Ohio. Her daughter, Debbie Davis (Roger) Cincinnati, Ohio proceeded Georgianna in death on December 4, 2009.

Georgianna had 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren all of whom love and cherish her dearly.

Georgianna was blessed with four brothers.  Surviving her are brothers Howard Adams (Ruth Ann) of Mason, Ohio and Robert Adams, (Sandy) of Union, Kentucky. Preceding her in death were brothers Ercel Adams, (Ophelia) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Lawrence Adams (Nadine)  also of Cincinnati, Ohio. She also had two sisters who proceeded her in death, Pauline Adams of Cincinnati and Pearl Cochran (Gene) from Indianapolis  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who love and cherish her.

Georgianna leaves a legacy of love and dedication to her family of five children and to a host of babies she nurtured while serving in the West Chester Church of the Nazarene for over 20 years.  She also worked in the Lakota School District at Hopewell school as a cook where again she was serving to meet the needs of children.  She was a woman of great patience and loved children.

Visitation will be held at Brecon United Methodist Church, 7388 Kemper Rd., Sharonville, OH on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m.  Memorials may be directed to the Ruth Lyons Christmas Fund, P.O.
