Beloved wife of the late N. William "Bill" Hagen. Loving mother of Janice (George) Nafziger and the late Julie (surviving Steve) Yost. Dear grandmother of Jon (Kayla) Nafziger, Jenn Nafziger, and Chris Yost. Sister of Bob (Heidi) Messinger, and Dick (Barb) Messinger. Daughter of the late H. Calvert and Erma Messinger. Jane made a difference in countless lives as a nurse for 32 years, primarily at Deaconess Hospital. She will always be remembered for her compassion towards others and made an impact on many people's lives.  Her goal in life was to make others smile. Jane had a temporary airplane pilot's license before she could get a driver's license. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1954 with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.  She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Jane was an avid Bridge player. Upon the death of her daughter, Julie, she and her husband, Bill, provided funds for the Rooftop Playground at Nationwide Children’s Hospital which was designed by Julie before her passing in 1995. Passed away August 3, 2018 at age 85. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd., West Chester, OH 45069, on Saturday (8/11), from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Julie Hagen Yost Memorial Fund, c/o Nationwide Children's Hospital, 700 Children's Dr, Columbus, OH 43205 to benefit the Rooftop Playground, or to Hands against Hunger, 2430 E Kemper Rd, Sharonville, OH 45241 in memory of Jane Hagen.
