AUSTING, Jane (née Sacksteder), Loving wife and best friend of Lawrence Budde Austing for 69 years.   Loving mother and inspiration to Cathy (Bill Herring), Gail (Don Barker), Ren, (Elisa), and Chris (Mary Pat), loving grandmother to Elizabeth, Sarah, and Bridget, Kristen, Megan, Kyle, Carmen, Langley, Christopher and Marty, and great-grandmother to ten, all of whom were a great joy to her. She was the daughter of the late Catherine Mahoney and Vincent Sacksteder. She was preceded in death by all of her 8 brothers and sisters. She leaves many nieces and nephews who she loved, and living brother in laws, Ed Duffy and Don Goodman. Jane was the consummate homemaker. She put everything into her marriage and children and felt grateful on a daily basis to have an intact, healthy, close family. She was an accomplished artist. She was the last living Rookwood Pottery designer from the original Rookwood Co. where she worked before her marriage. She continued to be an active artist through the Hilltop Artists throughout her life and is an accomplished water colorist and enamellist, both of which she also taught. She had a way of making everything beautiful. She was an inspiring, exceptionally kind and gracious lady who maintained a remarkable optimism and a focus on gratitude. She was healthy and vital until the moment of her sudden death and died in the company of those she loved at the age of 93. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave, Cinti, OH, 45224 on Friday 9/22/17 from 10:00 -11 AM. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clare Church, 1443 Cedar Ave., Cinti. OH 45224 at 11:30 AM. Memorials may be directed to St. Clare Parish or Xavier University.
