John was married to Janet (nee Huver) for 50 years. He was a loving father to Joy and husband Frankie Brown, Jeff and wife Cheri Washburn, Jill and husband Ken Abraham, and John Mike and Tammy Washburn. John was a loving grandpa to Alex, Brandon, Hannah, Rebecca, Paige, Nicholas, Zach, Nicole, Tyler, and Katie. He is also survived by his sisters Janet Hutchins and Nancy Penoyer. He is also survived by his brother in laws Howard (Linda) Huver, Dale (Jackie) Huver, Bill Huver, Pete Huver, and sister laws Geraldine Huver and Cindy Price, and multiple nieces and nephews.
John worked as an electrical engineer Graduated from Tri State Universary, Angola, IN with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He got his Professional Engineer License in Ohio, Kenkucky, Indiana, and Nebraska. John was avid golfer. After retiring from engineering, he had to give up playing golf. John enjoyed bingo - a lot! John also volunteered for recess duty for the last 7 years at Mother Teresa. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, February 17th at Sl. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 5720 Hamilton Mason Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45011, at 10am. A funeral mass will follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Mother Teresa Catholic Elementary School, 7197 Mother Teresa Lane, Liberty Twp OH 45044, Badin High School, 571 New London Rd., Hamilton, OH 45013, or St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
