My condolences to the Willke family. Dr. Willke was one of my inspirations to become a doctor. He was kind enough to accept my invitation to speak at Miami University years ago when I was an officer in Miami's pre-med club. God bless him, Mrs. Willke and family.

To all the family and especially Marie and Theresa, I send condolences on the death of your beloved Father. With you I sorrow at his leaving this world but with you I rejoice that he has gone on to receive the peace and joy he has earned by his goodness to family, patients and friends.
Alice Marmion and Dr. Pat Marmion - Feb 25, 2015
What an inspiration he and Barb have been to us in our meager pro-life work. At last, Jack has been reunited with Saint Barbara! We know that they continue to intercede for the hopeless victims of abortion, infanticide and euthanasia. May God bless the Willke family here on earth.
Monica Migliorino Miller - Feb 25, 2015
I will forever be personally grateful for the immeasurable contributions that Dr. Willke made to the pro-life cause. He was a giant in the movement and will be sorely missed. I have prayed for the repose of his soul and that of his dear wife Barbara. When I was a young lady of 23, just getting started in the pro-life cause I cut my teeth on The Willke Handbook on Abortion and still even possess a set of the famous "Willke slides". My sympathy goes out to all the family. But this is a man of whom you can be proud-- his life lived for God and spent for the cause of justice on behalf of those who have no voice. May angels come to greet him and guide him into Paradise. Monica Migliorino Miller of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society

Our sympathy to the Willke family and all pro life people who will be effected by the loss of this wonderful man of God. He and Barbara were speakers at our Pre Cana. Then 40 years later we were with them at Cana as we traveled a Holy Land Pilgrimage with them. We have been blessed knowing them. They left this world an amazing legacy of life.

JC-LOLP's attorneys join with the entire pro-life community and all people of good will mourning the loss of one of the pro-life movement's founding pioneers, Dr. John Willke, M.D. Jack's good sense and winsome character recruited me into the movement in the early 1980s. May his faithful example, always diligent efforts, great research and teaching skills, his love for others, including the pre-born from their conception, the disabled and the elderly, ever guide and direct our pro-life movement as we seek to revive and renew a culture of life here and throughout the world. May Dr. John & Barbara Willke rest peacefully together in our LORD's grace and the fond memories of their grateful friends whose lives they transformed forever by their great example. We are in mourning, yet most grateful for their lives.

Our family was so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. He and your mom inspired us along with so many others. They are both in our prayers.
Debra Braun - Feb 23, 2015
Dr. and Mrs. Willke's slide show and book propelled me into the pro-life movement and then I had the privilege to work with Dr. Willke at National Right to Life in the mid 1980s. What a great man. May God comfort you as you grieve the loss of your father and grandfather, and remember, "Those who live in the Lord never see each other for the last time."

Anyone who met Jack felt his respect for each person. A great protector and tireless warrior of all life, from conception until natural death, a fine physician, a good man, may he rest in the Lord's Eternal Peace.

Doctor Wilke and his wife Barbara were stars for the unborn. He was our doctor when we lived in Cincinnati . He was the best .He delivered our first two children and was our doctor for 22 years. Thank you for your life of service, Doctor. "Well done, good and faithful servant!"
Lori Viars, Warren Co. Right To Life - Feb 23, 2015
The word hero is often overused or misused in our culture, but Jack & Barbara were true heroes. I will miss the twinkle in Jack's eye but I'm glad he will be with his beloved Barbara. They were always joyful, always positive, and fun to be with, despite the seriousness of their work. They were easy to love.

He changed the course of history - for me personally & for the pro-live movement. I still remember the first time I heard Dr. Willke in Dayton. I came with many questions. He did such a good job of presenting the pro-life position that I was amazed! I know he sacrificed much for the cause. What a gift he has given us- a gift that will live on - both here & hereafter. We will unite ourselves spiritually with your family.

We can never put into words the positive magnitude the Wilkes had on this world. Saving lives of the innocent is truly God's work. Thank you for all you have done. Thank you Dr. Wilke for all you have done.

I am very sorry for your loss. He was amazing and wonderfully persistent. It makes a difference when you believe strongly in the right to life because we know it is a baby at all stages.
Marlys Popma - Feb 23, 2015
We have lost one of the great ones and heaven has gained a saint. Jack Willke was and still is an inspiration to many. No other person challenged me more to care for the unborn and their mothers. You will be missed, Jack. See you on the other side!

I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in knowing that the Bible reveals God’s purpose to restore the dead to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. Jesus said: “The hour is coming in which all those in the graves shall hear his voice and come out.”—John 5:28, 29; Revelation 21:1-4. I hope you find some comfort in this promise.

Jack and his wife visited Japan in 1991 for an International Pro Life Conference. He was instrumental in helping me found the Japan Pro Life Movement which has spread into Asia. The Declaration on the Rights of the Unborn Child in Japan still hangs above my desk. The seven articles Jack helped us to write are his legacy to Japanese society. Thank you Jack. You will always be in my heart and prayers.

Dr Willke was a dear friend of our family while we lived in N College Hill. He was our family Dr. for many years and delivered 4 of our 6 children...(One at home) 🙂 When we moved out of the state-South- I told him we would never find another Dr. like him., and would he consider relocating. Of course he laughed at this....but I was serious. Our prayers are with the family.- JoAnn & Dr. Don Suttles of NC
