Uncle Mort was such a sweet, kind and caring man. I have many fond memories visiting his farm on many occasions over the years. He will be missed so much by his family. My sincere sympathy and prayers to his sons and their families. Love, Lisa McLaughlin

As members of Liberty Livestock in the 50's and 60's, we thought Mort was an "old guy", when he wasn't much older than we were. He took time from his family and very busy life to ensure our development in what was to be called "agribusiness". I fondly remember the annual trips to Pine Hill for swimming. He and Bob made every meeting fun. But most of all, he developed us as people. I always wondered why he insisted that there was a safety and health officer in our club. Another club member, Forest Cash and I, spent our professional careers in safety and health! I'm certain every one who encountered Mort as a 4-H leader had their lives enriched by his mentoring, too. To his entire great family, your loss is shared by so many others! You are in my prayers. Dick Gilgrist

We are so very sorry. We enjoyed talking with him at the fair as long as he could attend. He always cared about the youth. All of the people he knew and yet he talked to everyone as if best friends. What a genuine person ❤️🙏
