Thomas J Tunney

Thomas J Tunney
On Saturday, December 8th, 2018, Thomas J Tunney, loving Husband, Father and Papaw, passed away at the age of 75, after a long, hard-fought battle with Leukemia and Lymphoma.
Tom was a native of Mason, OH. He was plant manager of a printing company in Franklin, OH for 36 years. In his retirement, he began his own home repair business, Tunney Repair Service, in which he was able to use his knowledge, skills and talents to help many people, friends and family in his community. Tom loved working with his hands and could fix or build anything. He loved sharing his knowledge with his sons and grandsons, and helping them with projects.
Tom will be lovingly remembered for his one of a kind sense of humor (he always had a corny joke for you!), his borderline obsession with wood (his nickname was Tommy Termite!), and his bargain-hunting advice which was frequently sought out by all his friends and family.
Tom’s family always had the comforting assurance that he would always be there for them no matter what. He leaves his family with a legacy of loyalty, honesty and love. He was a hard-working, faithful provider who raised his sons to be the same for their own families. Tom made everyone who had the privilege of being close to him feel special.
Tom will be greatly missed by his wife of 44 years, Janie, sons, Benjamin (Suzanne), Andrew (Jayla), and Brian, daughter, Lorinda Horton, grandchildren, Blake, Brad, Collin, Carter, Cally Jane, Boaz and Bonnie Lynn, brother, Bill Tunney, sister-in-law, Joanne Tunney and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William Tunney, and his mother, Ann Tunney.
A visitation will be held in memory of Tom at Lakota Hills Baptist Church, 6300 Tylersville Rd. West Chester 45069, on Saturday, December 15th from 10:00am-12:00pm. The funeral service will directly follow at noon. The burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery on Princeton Rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
