Annette K. Welch, born September 28,1950, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 8, 2025. Born on Linwood Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Arthur & Elizabeth Kreiner. Loving and devoted wife of David Welch, mother of Stephen Welch (Christopher B. Smith) & Christopher Welch, sister of Maribeth (Bob) McGraw, aunt to Ryan (Meriden) McGraw & Kelly (Joe) Murduck, Sister-In-Law to Taylor (Megan) Welch, niece to Helen Meara, Marlene (Frank) Deutsch & Tereasa (late Tom) Mangold, Great Aunt to Jackson, Sloane, Leo, Maxwell & Viviane, and a loving cousin to many.
Annette worked for many years as a corporate and real estate paralegal at Taft Stettinius & Hollister and Lawyers Title of Cincinnati. The job she valued most however was being a mother to her sons, frequently volunteering at Fairview German Language School and making sure she was home to greet them after school. A proud member of Mothers In Touch.
A longtime member of College Hill Presbyterian Church, Annette loved and knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was proud member of the Missions Team. One of her greatest joys was joining with others, especially women, in groups and activities to deepen their faith and spread the love of Christ to others.
Annette loved to read. You could always find a Badlacci, Grisham, Clancy, or Ludlum novel close by. She loved watching old TV shows, especially Gunsmoke and the Rifleman. She loved music, especially going to the symphony or listening to worship music, a quality she passed on to her sons.
Annette fought a long and valiant battle with multiple sclerosis. Even during the most trying times though, she never lost her warmth, feistiness, or her hope that God had a purpose, even when she couldn’t always see it. She was stubborn and resilient, a trait she inherited from her father, and refused to let the disease dim her light.
Above all else, Annette loved David with her whole heart and soul. They were married for over 42 years. Their bond and devotion to each other through all the highs and lows was a testament to their shared faith and deep love for one another. No matter where she was, there was nothing that could brighten her day like David showing up and sitting with her to just have a simple conversation.
Services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at College Hill Presbyterian Church, 5742 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, OH, 45224. Visitation will begin at 10 am until services at 11 am, with reception to follow.
