Arless Dale Lawson

Arless (Dale) Lawson, age 80, of Dillsboro, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones at Hospice of Cincinnati, Blue Ash on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Dale was born June 15, 1945, in Oneida, Tennessee to Arless John and Geneva Lawson.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Arless John Lawson and Geneva (Cornelius) Lawson; his son, Mike Lawson; his brothers, Jackie, Arthur, Robert, and James; and his sisters, Opal Harris, Sandra Trammell, and Teresa West.

He is survived by his two sons, Bryan and Robert Lawson of Cincinnati; his daughter, Kim Sizemore (Eddie) of Versailles; and his sisters, Brenda Murry of Milford, Ohio, and Glenda Franks of Texas. Dale is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Lora Lawson; and many grandchildren: Tommy Crawford (Kayla), Michael Lawson, Jerron Lawson, Trevin Lawson, Josh Lawson, Tanner Lawson, and Suzanne Crawford; and his great-grandchildren, Everleigh and Lennyn Crawford.

Dale discovered a passion for running later in life and absolutely loved it. He spoke of it often, enjoying the sport almost as much as he enjoyed spending time with his precious Martha. The special connection he shared with Martha in his later years brought immense joy to him and his entire family.

In addition to running, Dale also enjoyed classic cars, horses, farming, and gospel music.

He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather—as wonderful a man as a family could have.

Above all, Dale loved the Lord and knew Him as his Savior.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Landmark Baptist Church, located at 1600 Glendale Milford Rd., Cincinnati, OH, 45215. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 3:00 PM, followed by a service officiated by Pastor Casey Ragan.
