Barbara Ellen Osborn

Blessed by God and embraced in the love of her family and friends, Barbara Ellen Osborn lovingly greeted her husband Harold Eugene in heaven on 26 June 2025 at the age of 90 years. Barbara is a native of Akron, Ohio, a Lutheran, a graduate of Akron University, and retired Akron Public School teacher.

 Barbara is survived by brother Paul Jacobs; children, son John (Deborah) Osborn and daughter Linda (Tim) Wagner; treasured grandchildren, Kara Blomgren (Wagner), Emma Osborn, Maria Osborn, Megan Ziegenhardt (Wagner), Jack Osborn, Jorydn Wagner; beautiful great granddaughters Kamryn Blomgren and Aliana Ziegenhardt. Lastly, Barbara is survived by Zoey, a ball loving Boston Terrier.

 Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Harold Osborn, father and mother Paul and Mildred Jacobs, and sister Phyllis (Jim) Murch.

 Harold, passed away 7 February 2021at the age of 89 is survived by his brother Bill (Donna) Osborn. COVID prevented the family from having a traditional service at the time of Harold’s passing. We are honoring Barbara’s wishes for the services to be held at the same time. Harold was preceded in death by his father and mother Ilford and Ellen Osborn, and sisters Fran Osborn and Betty (Don) Davis.

 A memorial service celebrating the lives and 65 years of marriage of Barbara and Harold Osborn is scheduled for 20 September 2025, 11 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 N. Prospect St, Akron, Ohio. A graveside ceremony will be held directly following the service at Rose Hill Cemetery, 3653 W. Market St, Akron, Ohio.

 We will always have Barbara in our hearts and memories. Barbara was loved as a teacher and made a profound difference in the lives of her students.
