Bennie Lee Phifer III

Loving father of Bennie Lee Phifer IV (Jamie) and dear grandfather of Liam J Phifer. Cherished brother of Loretta Phillips (Richard). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ben was preceded by his daughter, Michele L. (Phifer) Russell; parents, Bennie Lee Phifer Jr and Barbara Jean; and his two brothers, Jeff Phifer & Michael Phifer.

Ben spent his life as a public servant and dedicated his life to protecting others. Starting as a MP in the Army, then a Sheriff's Deputy, a Probation Officer and a fraud investigator for a major bank.

He loved sports and was naturally gifted in all of them. Basketball, Football, Baseball, Tennis and Golf were his main passions. He was a staunch supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue! 

He was loved and will be greatly missed.

A private service will be held later in the year.
