Betty Louise Hardin

Betty Louise Hardin (Blankenship) passed away on Wednesday, September 23rd after a two-year struggle with metastatic ovarian cancer and dementia. Daughter of the late Halsey and Ethel (Blair) Blankenship, Betty was born on August 15, 1943, in the tiny, rural coal mining town of Hurley, Virginia. Her parents raised her in their local independent Pentecostal church and instilled within her a faith that carried her throughout her life. Betty was a graduate of Hurley High School (1961) and was a retiree from the banking industry, working for Firstar (later U.S. Bank) as her most recent employer. Beloved wife of 50 years to the late Larry Hardin. Loving mother of Rhonda (Doug) McKay of Omaha, NE. Dear grandmother of Jordan and Cody Johnson, of Omaha, NE. Cherished sister of Edna Lee (the late Ronald) Davis and Janis (the late Cubert) Coleman. Also survived by one brother-in-law George Hardin of West Chester, Ohio as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati Dayton Rd., Liberty Twp., OH 45044, on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 6 PM until time of Funeral Service at 7 PM.
