Betty Jean Thomas, nee Moore, born October 7, 1930, in Reedy, WV, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2022, at the age of 91. Betty was a devoted wife and mother who worked selflessly to take care of her family. She was the loving wife of 66 years to the late Charles Thomas. Doting mother of Lynn (Chris) Curran, and Larry (Diana) Thomas. Adoring Grandmother of Carissa, Braden (Katie), Ashley (Eric), Brooke (Robert), Chase and Colton. Great Grandmother of Emerson, Hamilton, Brantley, Cole, Brady, Jaxson, and Gavin. Betty was preceded in death by parents Dwight and Lulla Ellen Moore and siblings, William, Alonzo, Dwight Jr., Edith, Orba, Jack, Peggy, and Margaret. She is survived by sisters-in-law Carol Thomas, Jackie (Bob) Moore, Lillian "Jo" (Pete) Schroeder and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Betty's greatest joy was taking care of her family and considered her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren her greatest blessings. An avid seamstress, she enjoyed sewing and tailoring for family and friends. As a talented crafter she worked with her hands in a broad range of interests to create quilts, embroidery, crocheting, and paintings, as well as ceramics that are cherished keepsakes for those she loved. Most recently, she dawned her skills as a resident card shark and accomplished Bingo enthusiast. Visitation will be held Monday, February 7th, 2022, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069. Funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. followed by a procession to Rest Haven Memorial Park, 10209 Plainfield Rd, Evendale, Ohio 45241 for the burial service.
