Billy R. Deaton, affectionately known as Bill, passed away on June 6, 2025, in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on January 27, 1952, Bill brought light and laughter into the lives of everyone he encountered. A kind-hearted man with a contagious sense of humor, he was loved for his ability to lift spirits with his playful goofiness and an array of memorable sayings that forever resonated within those fortunate enough to know him.
A devoted husband to Joyce Deaton, Bill dedicated his life to creating a warm and loving home, and he took enormous pride in raising his children and grandchildren. His legacy lives on through his daughters, Angie (Justin) Vaughn, Kate (Jean) Alexie, and son Ryan (Kelly) Gray, Jessica Deaton along with his future son-in-law, Corey Whisenhunt. Bill's grandchildren—Mason, Cameron, Rovelie, Callum, and Carrick—were the joys of his life, and he cherished every moment spent watching them grow. Family vacations to Myrtle Beach were among his favorite memories, where laughter echoed in the sun, and bonds were forged under warm skies.
Throughout his life, Bill exemplified hard work and loyalty. As an electrician, he was known for his dedication and skill, enjoying the satisfaction of fixing and repairing everything that came his way. Bill had a passion for buying and selling cars and the open road, riding his Harley through the winding trails and taking delight in life’s simple pleasures like boating at the lake. His garage, often filled with laughter and fun, was his sanctuary; there he could be found with his shirt off and a bandana tied around his head, working away while sharing joy with those around him.
Bill's spirit of generosity knew no bounds. He was always willing to help anyone in need, embodying kindness and friendship to all. Many will fondly remember him as the life of the party, a friend who could light up any room with his presence and humor. His best companion, a loyal dog named Benji, was never far from his side, sharing in the countless moments of joy.
Bill is now reunited with his beloved grandparents, Perry and Dicey Mills, whom he greatly admired, mother Belle Neal, and his father Asberry Deaton. Though he is no longer physically present, the love and memories he has left behind will continue to resonate throughout the lives he touched.
He leaves us with a heart full of cherished memories and invaluable life lessons, guiding us to celebrate each day with laughter, love, and a spirit of giving. Bill will forever be missed but always remembered for the loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend he was—a shining light in our lives that will never fade.
