Billy Meadows

Billy (Bill) Joe Meadows, age 86 of Deerfield Twp., went to be with the Lord on Monday November 27, 2023, in Cincinnati, OH. Born November 2, 1937, in Lockbridge, WV, he was the son of Richard and Carolyn Meadows who preceded him in death. Devoted husband of 56-years to the love of his life Joan Meadows who he married on June 17, 1967.

Loving father of Gregory Meadows (Stephanie) and Jennifer Neill (Jay), loving grandfather of Alexandra Craig (Zach), Sarah Cerny (Will), Jacob Meadows, Jack Neill and Jason Neill, and great-grandfather of Oliver Cerny and Nori Craig. He was preceded in death by sister Arnetta Ontiveros and brothers Norman Meadows and Leslie Meadows. He is survived by his sister Barbara Bailey (John) of Whiteville, NC.

After graduating in 1957 from Sandstone High School in Sandstone, WV he later continued his education at the University of Cincinnati. Bill took great pride in his service in the U.S. Army (61’ to 63’), which included time as an MP in Germany.  He was a dedicated General Motors employee who worked as an engineer at the Norwood plant, retiring in 1986 after 30-years with the company. As a faithful Christian he was a long-time member of the Socialviille Baptist Church where he served as a trustee.

He enjoyed life and his interests’ included flowers, gardening, hunting, home improvements, watching sports, church, and his family. He also enjoyed his 1931 Ford Model A that he owned for over 70 -years.

Bill had a kind soul and made the world a better place as he was loved and respected by so many, his new home is eternal in the heavens.

Should you wish to honor Bill’s memory, donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to Socialville Baptist Church.

Visitation and funeral service will be held on Monday, December 4th at Socialville Baptist Church, 5946 Socialville-Fosters Rd, Mason, OH 45040. Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm.
