Bradley Hawkins

November 30, 1955 — June 21, 2024

Bradley (Brad) David Hawkins, 68, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 21, 2024 at PAM Hospital and Rehabilitation in Miamisburg Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. In his final months, Brad's courage and resilience shone brightly as he fought bravely for every precious moment.

Brad was born on November 30, 1955, in Cincinnati, OH, to Dr. Benjamin and Ruth Hawkins. He shared a loving marriage of nearly 45 years with his devoted wife, Cindy, and leaves behind a legacy of love through his children Grant (Liz), Hannah (Brian), and Garrett (Bethany), as well as his cherished grandchildren Bennett, Emma, Parker, Charlie, and Grayson. Brad is also survived by his siblings: Benjamin (Barb) Hawkins of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; Karen Hawkins of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brother-in-law David Jensen of Hart, Michigan; sister-in-law Sue (Bruce) of Port Charles, Florida; sister-in-law Tammy, and brother-in-law Andy (Tina) of Loveland, Ohio; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dr. Christine Jensen, his brother Lee Hawkins, his mother and father-in-law Donna and David Oppenheimer, and his brother-in-law Ed.

Brad worked as a splicer for Cincinnati Bell for an impressive 40 years before retiring in January 2017. He was a man of many interests, including fishing, camping, attending air shows, spending time with his family, and enjoying a cold gin and tonic or beer. His love for Skyline Chili is worth a callout, and always brought a smile to his face.

Known for his infectious smile and one-of-a-kind laugh, Brad was always there to lend a helping hand and freely show his love and support to those around him. His sincerity in saying "I love you" will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Horse Power Farm in Middletown, Ohio, on Sunday, July 21st, from 1pm onwards.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Horse Power Farm to benefit Wounded Warriors and Toys for Tots or please donate to a charity of your choice in honor of Brad. Let's come together to share stories, celebrate Brad's life, and remember the joy he brought to all of us.

Brad's memory will be cherished by all who were touched by his warmth and humor.
