Brian Robson, of West Chester, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the age of 72.
Brian was born on April 29 in Dumfries, Scotland and grew up with a deep love of learning, curiosity, and the outdoors. He earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and went on to enjoy a long and dedicated career with Procter & Gamble, where he held a variety of roles before retiring.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, of 51 years; his children, Kelly (Lance) Foster, Paul (Shannon) Robson, and Jill Robson; and his four cherished grandchildren. Being a grandfather brought him great joy, and he treasured time spent playing, laughing, and making memories with them.
Brian loved anything connected to the water. From swimming and sailing to boating, scuba diving, and time at the beach, water was always where he felt most at home. He spent more than 25 summers at Beckett Ridge Pool—one of his favorite places—swimming, enjoying the sun, and serving the local swim community. Brian was deeply involved in swim officiating for over 25 years, including work with Lakota West High School, USA Swimming, the Ohio High School Athletic Association, and the NCAA.
A man of faith and generosity, Brian was actively involved in his church and volunteered wherever he was needed. In retirement, he and Nancy loved to travel together, especially on Viking voyages that allowed them to explore the world. Brian also enjoyed staying active through walking, biking, and exercise, and he had a special fondness for animals, particularly cats and his “grand-dogs.”
Above all, Brian will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his steady kindness, warm smile, and positive outlook, and he was deeply loved by many. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Compassion International.
