Carolyn Sue Moore

May 14, 1947 — April 16, 2026

Maineville

Carolyn Sue Moore was born May 14, 1947 in Cincinnati, OH. She was lovingly adopted by Gladys and Richard Edwards living in Wyoming, OH. She passed away mercifully, peacefully, and quietly with her family at her side residing in Deerfield Traditions, Loveland, OH on April 16, 2026. She grew courageously through a prolonged eight year journey with anxiety and depression leading to Lewy body dementia. She was blessed by facing little pain. Throughout this time, Sue was warmly supported by beautiful caregivers, friends and family, especially her husband, Jim, and most especially, her daughter Erin, and her son, Jamey. During this time, and as days came closer to passing, she was magnificently cared for by Bristol Hospice. She showed grace and courage on a daily basis.

She graduated from Maryville College, Maryville, TN in 1969. As an educator, quietly, beautifully, touched the lives of many, many young people with special needs in Milford, OH, schools. She was an unsung hero helping so many young lives in her steady, quiet way.

Sue married Jim Moore, her college sweetheart and became a warm nurturing mother raising son, Jamey, and daughter, Erin.

Sue loved the residents and community of Bay Harbor in Sunrise Landing, Maineville, OH. She quietly and lovingly touched the lives of neighbors while daily walking our golden retrievers and riding her bike throughout the community. Sue would welcome new residents to Bay Harbor with warm blueberry scones on their first morning in the neighborhood. She loved life on the lake often canoeing with Jim. Sue enjoyed a love of music of all genres which lead her for several years to usher at Riversbend. She was there whether it be Aerosmith or Frank Sinatra. Dear to her heart, were her long walks on the beautiful beaches we shared. During rotations of Interfaith Hospitality Network at Sycamore Presbyterian Church, Sue shared love lovingly and generously with families especially the children!

It is hoped that’s Sue’s special, stoic, quiet, and most loving zeal for life will be always felt and carried forward by those who love her.

Sue is survived by her loving husband, Jim. Her son, Jamey, wife, Mary, and daughter, Erin, wonderful grandson, Levi. Her sisters, Marsha Roush, Centerville, OH, and Barbara Gay, Spring Valley. She was preceded in death by her Mother and father, Gladys and Richard Edwards.

In lieu of flowers, thoughtful donations in Sue’s memory may be made to: Bristol Hospice, Traditions- Deerfield, and/or Sycamore Presbyterian Church.
