Catherine Morris

On Thursday, April 27th, 2023, Catherine Jean (Brayton) Morris, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away with her husband, David, by her side at the age of 77.

Cathy was one of eleven children, born March 29th, 1946 in Sharonville, Ohio to Annabelle (Seward) and David Brayton. On July 12th, 1967, she married the love of her life, David Frank Morris. They raised their two sons, Brian (Chris) and Kevin (Kelly)

Known for being incredibly kind and smart, Cathy easily picked up any job but she finally settled into enjoying her work in jewelry sales. But where she was truly the happiest was being surrounded by her family.

She was a true people person, anyone that met her was greeted by her beautiful smile, quick wit, and her contagious laughter. She cared deeply about others, and was always extending a warm welcome.

In her free time, she beautifully crafted her garden with flowers and loved taking care of the visiting hummingbirds. She also regularly donated to the Boy’s home and St. Jude.

She is preceded by her mother, Anne and father, David, her brothers, Kenny, Bob and Danny, and her sisters, Mary Jo, and Janet. She is survived by her husband David, her two sons, Brian and Kevin, her two grandchildren, Jacob (Kailey) and Caleb (Erin), her brothers, Don and Pat, and her sisters, Shirley, Jackie, and Barb. She was also a cherished mother-in-law and aunt.

The funeral service will be held Monday,  May 1st, at the Hodapp Funeral Home in West Chester starting at 11:00 AM. Burial with be directly following at Rosehill Cemetery.
