Obituary

Christine Marie Grangier, born Blaker, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on December 26, 1960, Christine lived a life marked by kindness, strength, and an unwavering love for family and friends. Her presence was a lighthouse of warmth and loyalty.

Christine was a cherished member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community in Baraga, Michigan, a heritage she wore proudly throughout her life. She served her country honorably, receiving an honorable discharge from the United States Army, a testament to her dedication and discipline.

For over 20 years, Christine was a very loved bartender at Our Pub, where her friendly spirit and genuine kindness left an everlasting mark on the community. Her creative soul found joy in crafting, rock collecting, and celebrating every occasion with heartfelt enthusiasm. She felt the most connected sitting quietly by a fire as well as the water, taking in the beauty of nature, and savoring life’s small moments with gratitude and grace. Sports, especially watching the Reds, brought her enjoyment and lively conversations with loved ones. With an occasional knuckle punch.

Christine’s proudest accomplishments were her beloved children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Grangier, her son Joshua, and her daughters Tori (Jessie), Rachel (Brian), Tawni (Jamie), and her son Trae. Her family has been blessed with eleven grandchildren: Jerayis, Jeremy, Rene’, Jeanessa, Kingston, William (BillyJoe), Khrystian, Cassandra, Samuel, Trae, and Emrys, along with the joyous anticipation of one great-grandbaby on the way.

She is also deeply missed by her sisters Connie, Julie (Roger), and Beth, her brother Randy, Her loving Aunts and Uncles. As well as nieces and great nieces, Nephews and great nephews, and many cousins, who all cherished her guidance and love.

Christine was the devoted daughter of the late Robert and BettyLou Blaker, whose memories she carried in her heart with deep respect and love.

Her passionate spirit was a remarkable blend of Pride, honesty, creativity, and profound spirituality. Christine’s loyalty to those she loved, her kindness to strangers, and her radiant energy are sacred gifts that will continue in the lives she touched. Whether quietly reflecting in nature, searching for river rocks, celebrating life's milestones, sharing moments with family and friends, or taking time to always reach out and tell her loved ones to look up at the moon, Christine approached life with a full heart and an open soul.

Though she has departed from this world, Christine’s legacy of love, grace and strong spirit will continue to inspire and comfort all who had the honor of knowing her. Her story lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren and the memories treasured by countless people she loved dearly.

Visitation will take place at Carthage Church of the Nazarene 33 W.65th St., Carthage, on Saturday May 30th from 11:00AM until Funeral Service at 1:00PM.
