Clara Pinilla Trujillo, 87 passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026.

Born on November 20, 1938, in Neiva, Colombia, South America, Clara was the beloved daughter of Luis Emilia Pinilla and Maria de Jesus Vergara de Pinilla.

Clara leaves behind a loving family who celebrate her life and the legacy she bestowed upon them: her beloved husband of 61 years, Alfonso Trujillo-Falla and 4 children, Clara (Ron) Vorbroker, Luis (Chris) Trujillo, Carlos (Amy) Trujillo and Marta Trujillo, 7 grandchildren, Geoffrey, Matthew, Katarina, Thomas, Nick, Ben and Luke and 2 great grandchildren, Kinsley and Coast.

Her departure marks the end of a remarkable life defined by her devotion to her family and faith. One of 9 children, she was the second youngest of 7 sisters and 2 brothers. She came to the United States in 1964 and built a beautiful life alongside her husband while moving throughout the United States due to Alfonso’s medical career. She is the pillar of a strong woman who came to this country to learn a new language and most importantly to learn and navigate a new culture. Although still heavily influenced by her Colombian culture and passion for life she dedicated her life to her family near and close. Cincinnati became home in 1973. Throughout her years, Clara embraced the roles of devoted wife, proud mother, grandmother and dedicated homemaker with grace and a strong passion for attention to detail that left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was the heart of her family, a woman whose fun-loving, strong willed nature and joyful laughter would brighten any room. Her kind and beautiful spirit brought laughter and warmth to her loved ones, creating cherished memories that will forever endure. As the matriarch of her family, she instilled values of compassion and resilience that will carry on through generations.

Mass of Remembrance and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.
