Cynthia Ann Garrett

September 9, 1966 — September 17, 2025

Liberty Township, Ohio

Cynthia A. Garrett (Ash), will be remembered deeply by everyone for her selfless nature and eagerness to give. She devoted her life to helping others. A lifelong Nurse, caregiver, and provider who put everyone else ahead of herself. She passed away on September 17, 2025 at the age of 59.

Cynthia was born at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati, OH on September 9, 1966 to the late Kenneth B. Ash and Susan E. Ash (Hollmann). She later went on to become a nurse, her dream job. Cynthia married the love of her life, Edward J. Garrett, the day after her birthday on September 10, 1994. Nine short months later, Cynthia and Edward welcomed their first child to the world.

A devoted mother to Christopher (Jessica) Garrett and her beloved daughter Megan(Cory). She worked tirelessly not only to help those in need at work, but also to ensure her family was always taken care of. In their elder years, her parents Ken and Sue were eternally grateful for her caring nature and assistance with their needs.

In her free time, Cynthia loved to watch nature and spend time with her family and pets. She was a simple woman at heart and those around her were all she needed to feel whole. Well, an occasional margarita would also do the trick.

Cynthia will be deeply missed but warmly welcomed into heaven and reunited with her parents and loved ones. She is survived by her husband Edward J. Garrett, children Christopher and Megan, brother Kenny (Jenny) Ash, as well as extended family.

A funeral service and visitation to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home in West Chester, OH on September 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service beginning at 12. She will be laid to rest following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, alongside her parents and loved ones. Let us gather to pay tribute and respects to a life of service and care given by dear Cynthia.
