David Allen Garner—Dave to so many who loved him—will be remembered for his large gentle heart. Born in Cincinnati on November 29, 1984, he was strongly rooted in the city of his birth until his peaceful passing on August 22, 2026. Dave’s journey was defined by generosity, intelligence, and humor. His battle with Leukemia, marked by two courageous bouts, was testament to his resilience.
Dave was tech minded, and he carried his knowledge with him to his career where he served as a Communications Engineer for TQL.
An avid sports fan, Dave brought unmatched energy to his role as a Bengals season ticket holder. He was fiercely loyal, knowing every detail and move of his favorite team with a passion that became legendary among his friends and family.
If there was a title Dave wore most proudly, it was “Uncle” for Graham, Jack, Maxwell, Oliver, Paige, and Corinne. Dave’s pride in his nieces and nephews was infectious. He spoiled them every chance he could, and their memories of him will be of joy and laughter.
He is also survived by his parents Douglas and Melanie Garner. His brother, Andrew and twin, Daniel Garner, his sisters in law, Melanie and Danielle Garner, and his grandparents Kenneth and Lorraine Davidson.
Dave was a Christian who was not ashamed to display his faith. He attended Lakota Hills Baptist Church where he was baptized in August of 2024.
Loved ones and friends are invited to gather in his memory.
Visitation will be held at Lakota Hills Baptist Church, 6300 Tylersville Rd, West Chester, OH 45069, on Monday, August 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
A funeral service will then take place from 1:00-2:00pm followed by a procession to Rose Hill Cemetery, 171 Mason Montgomery Road Mason, OH 45040
All who knew Dave are welcome to share in celebrating a life so wonderfully lived.
