David J. Fenton Jr.

David J. Fenton Jr passed away August 16,2022 after a 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

He is survived by his mother, Carmen, of Okeana, Ohio, his wife of 31 years, Andrea (née Lanning), of West Chester, Ohio, his children Andrew, Alex (Cali Fleming), William (Ava Benoit), Pete, and Kate Fenton.  David is also survived by his Uncle Jerry (Pat) Fenton of West Jefferson, his in-laws Carl & Setsuko Lanning, a sister-in-law Susan Hanlon, and Will (Meggan) Owens, whose child Marley was the apple of Dave’s eye, and close friends Dr. David Youtsler and John Gardner. He was proceeded in death by his father, David Fenton Sr., and his grandparents George & Mildred Fenton & William & Wilma Schellhaas, an Uncle, Larry Fenton, and his wife’s mother Mariko.

He graduated from West Jefferson High School and attended Devry & Wright State.  He was the IT Director at UASI in Cincinnati. Special thanks to Ty Hare, Frank Kerley and Rob Cook at UASI. David loved all of you. He fought a courageous battle and the family sends a special thank you to his oncologist Dr. Matacia and the nurses & staff at the Thomas Center at Bethesda North Hospital.

Calling hours will be at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42) West Chester, OH 45069 on Monday, August 22, 2022, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral service at New London Cemetery in Shandon, OH.
