David Patrick Obert

David Patrick Obert (Okray/Stumpy), age 71, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026 among loving family. He was born on March 14, 1955 to Raymond and Cora Obert. He grew up in Wyoming, Ohio and attended Roger Bacon High School and Clark Technical College.

Having worked on golf courses for many of his younger years and developing a passion for it, Dave started his career as a golf course superintendent. He subsequently and proudly started his own business, Obert Stump Removal. His retirement job was at Sharon Woods Golf Course, where he took great pride in beautifying the course.

Dave was known for his gregarious sense of humor and never met a stranger. Family and friends will remember him for his love of rock and roll music, landscaping and golf. His hilarious personality will be missed by all.

He is survived by his daughter Jessica (Dustin) Huffman, grandson Hogan Huffman, his son Jefrey (Stephanie), sisters Patricia (John) Koepnick, Mary Joe (Michael) Ruttle, and Cathy (Michael) McHugh and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Cora, and by his brothers Raymond and Thomas.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 3, 2026 at Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St. Cincinnati, OH 45216 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
