Dennis Ray Britton, 79, a lifelong resident of West Chester, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Denny was born on November 4, 1946, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the only child of the late Ezra “H” and Bernice Britton. He attended Lakota schools, where he met Gale Brandenburg, the love of his life. Denny proudly served his country in the United States Army, and during that time, he and Gale were married in 1966. After returning home to West Chester, Denny became the proud owner of Denny’s Hair Dimensions in Pisgah, where he served his community and provided for his family for more than 50 years.
Denny maintained close relationships with childhood and high school friends throughout his life. In addition, he was a lifelong member of West Chester Presbyterian Church, where he and Gale formed many of their closest friendships. While he enjoyed golf and traveling, nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with family. He looked forward to family reunions and could always be found cheering from the sidelines at his children’s and grandchildren’s school and sporting events.
Denny is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Gale Britton (nee Brandenburg); his children, Chris (Sally) Britton and Kim (Jason) Stockslager; his grandchildren, Kayla Britton (Kevin Crowder), Emily (Tyler) Blevins, and Adam and Sydney Stockslager; and his great-grandsons, Wyatt and Maxwell Blevins, who will soon be joined by Colton Ray Blevins later this spring. He is also survived by his special cousin, Terry (Romola) Ping; sisters-in-law, Laverne (Ronnie) Bryant and Melody (Keith) Jones; and his much-loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father- and mother-in-law, Odus and Susie Brandenburg.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with the funeral service immediately following, at West Chester Presbyterian Church, 8930 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, West Chester, Ohio 45069.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or The Community Supper Fund at West Chester Presbyterian Church.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his steady love, quiet strength, and devotion to his family.
