Dennis George Stetz

October 20, 1950 — April 15, 2026

Dennis Stetz passed away on April 15th, 2026 following a valiant battle with cancer. He was well loved by family and friends, leaving behind his wife, Linda; daughters Miriam Morgan and Katherine Stetz; grandchildren Jared Stetz and Ryan Morgan.

Dennis was born in Pittsburgh, PA to George and Grace Palmieri Stetz, both of whom are deceased. A brother, Brian Stetz, also preceded him in death.

Dennis was an alumnus of North Hills High School, where he and his baseball team mates were able to play on the hallowed ground of Forbes Field. He was also a varsity high school wrestler. After high school, Dennis attended Youngstown State College, where he studied Finance and Economics. His studies prepared him for a long and successful career in insurance. Dennis retired from Cincinnati Financial after 42 years where he served as a Vice President in the Claims Department.

Dennis’ rise to the executive ranks was fueled by his hard work, determination and intelligence. His work ethic was developed early on. As a student he worked as a window washer on skyscrapers high above the streets of downtown Pittsburgh; as a commercial roofer; as a hod carrier; and as a laborer at a car wash.

Dennis and Linda met through a mutual friend during his years at Youngstown State and they married in 1973. Together they moved to Ohio and raised two daughters in the Cincinnati area. A devoted dad, Dennis helped daughters Miriam and Katherine develop as skilled softball players during their school years. He was gifted mechanically and had an impressive home workshop. Dennis enjoyed trap/skeet shooting, hiking, biking, and traveling.

A private burial will be Monday, April 20, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Springdale. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
