Dolores (Dee) Jean Gleason Cunningham, age 90 most recently from Morrow, Ohio and formerly resided in Liberty Township, Ohio; Cincinnati, Ohio; Hardyville, Deltaville and Richmond, Virginia, born on 7/13/1933 in Wadena, Minnesota and died on 10/6/23 after struggling with Alzheimer’s, and heart disease for several years. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Diane & John Fischer of Morrow, Ohio and son and daughter in law Glenn and Marcia (Juergens) Cunningham of Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Grandchildren, Brant, Kathleen (Katie)-fiance Blake Coffey and Mathew Fischer- (Katie Ray Zellers), and Andrea and Ryan Cunningham. She was pre-deceased by her husband, George (Johnny) Ellwood Cunningham, mother Ruby Farr Gleason, father: Charles Harold Gleason and father and mother in law, George W. and Minnie (Ragland) Cunningham and her siblings, Marge Gleason Hilcoske, Lyle Gleason; Sister and brother in laws: Alan Hilcoske, Irish Gleason Tobery, Edward (Mary) Cunningham, Margaret (Lucille) Kitchen (Hugh Kitchen and Charles Brown) and Irma Alease Cunningham Thompson (Wesley (Tommy), Nephews Michael Thompson and Edward Cunningham Jr. She is survived by nieces Michelle(Lee) Peterson, Linda (Gray) Taylor, Dale Lanier (Malcom), Lisa Medlin (Mark), Connie(Lee) Bridgeman, Mary (Neil Fried), Cheryl (Harold) Stahl, nephews Hughie (Brenda) Kitchen, Michael (Mary) Hilcoske, Mike Gleason and many great nieces and nephews and friends.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years and held her sisters near and dear to her heart.
The family would like to thank care giver Shawan Dawson who took wonderful care of her for over 6 years and the wonderful staff of Mason Christian Village and Hospice of Mason Christian Village
Graveside Funeral services will take place at Westhampton Memorial Park in Richmond, Virginia on Saturday, 10/14/23 noon. Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory may be made to any animal Shelter, Salem Morrow Fire Department, Alzheimer’s Association or charity of your choice.
