Dolores Ann Rumpke

RUMPKE, Dolores Ann (nee Geers). Beloved wife of the late Robert H. “Rob” Rumpke. Loving mother of Norma (Gary) Rapien, Carol (Giles) Krabbe, Rob (Linda) Rumpke, Janet (Paul) Bresciani, Julie (Jeff) Wells and Mary (Todd) Dwire. Dear grandmother of Michelle, Erik, Paul, Laura, Philip, Michael, Marc, Elise, Elena, Alyssa, Zach, Kaylee and Luke, and great grandmother of 17.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Geers, brothers Fr. Frank Geers O.F.M., Robert Geers, and brother-in-law Lawrence Risola as well as her brothers-in-laws Albert, Edward, Raymond, Herman Rumpke, and sister-in-laws Virginia Ollinger and Sr. Marianna Rumpke SND. She is survived by her sister Rosalie Risola, and brother James (Carol) Geers and sister-in-law Dorothy Compton. She passed away October 11, 2025 at age of 95.

Dolores was full of life in loving and caring for her husband, children and grandchildren as she was all about family. A devout Catholic, she engrained Catholic values and virtues to all of her children and grandchildren. She loved music and loved to sing, especially at mass. She was an avid reader and was very artistic. She lived life to make sure all family members were successful in school, careers, relationships, and marriages,and living their lives in concert with Christ.

Visitation will take place at St. Anthony Shrine 5000 Colerain Ave, Mt Airy, on Thursday, October 16th from 10:00AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. In lieu flowers memorial donations may be made to the Franciscan Friars or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
