Donald L. Wirtz

Donald L. Beloved husband of the late Anna Wirtz. Devoted father of Lisa (Mark) Neubauer, Tim (Marsha) Wirtz, Todd (Sarah) Wirtz and Craig (Nancy) Wirtz. Loving grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 7. Brother of the late Howard, Robert and Leonard Wirtz. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the age of 89. Proudly served in the US Army Air Corps during WW II, was employed by Mid States Theaters until his retirement in 1986 and was named NATO Showman of the Year for his memorable champagne movie premieres. Don loved and was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Visitation at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 7754 Montgomery Rd., Kenwood, Monday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Ferrer School Tuition Assistance Fund or Acclaim Hospice.
