Dr. Thomas L. Moffitt III

Dr. Thomas Lawson Moffitt, III died suddenly on November 2, 2017 at the age of 68. He is survived by his loving and devoted fiancée JoDee Hub, loving father of Scott Moffitt, step father to Amy Sanders and Kim Gallaher, brother to Rick Moffitt, Larry Herman and Linda Herman. Tom is also survived by 9 grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his mother and father Thomas and Helen Moffitt and Brother Robert Moffitt. A devoted educator in the greater Cincinnati area for over 45 years Tom had an impact on countless individuals. A life-long avid cyclist, he worked in retirement as the President of the Ohio to Erie Trail Foundation to provide safe pathways for cyclists across Ohio. For the last 20 years of his life he worked passionately to raise tens of thousands of dollars to help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
Visitation will take place on Friday November 10th from 11am to 1pm at Hodapp Funeral Home located at 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Road, West Chester Ohio. Service to immediately follow at Hodapp. Burial at Rest Haven Cemetery.
All are encouraged to join the family thereafter at Scott and Cindy Moffitt’s home located at 556 Lakewood Farms Drive in Loveland. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or Ohio to Erie Trail Foundation.
