Edward J. Klee

Wyoming, OH

Edward John Klee, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024, at the age of 92. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Edward was the son of Edward C. Klee and Mary Donahue Klee.

 Edward proudly served his country as a veteran of the Navy during the Korean War, demonstrating his commitment to service and patriotism.

 He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 57 years, Mary Theresa (O'Toole) Klee, his son Kevin Edward Klee, his daughter Deborah Ann (Klee) Kilbane, and his brother Donald T. Klee.

 Edward is survived by his loving children, Edward Klee and his wife Karen (Fette) Klee, and Mary Colleen (Klee) Fogel and her husband Ric Fogel, all of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also survived by his sister Ellen (Klee) Rybnik of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. He leaves behind a legacy through his eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.

 Edward's professional life was marked by a successful career that began at Sears, where he started clearing cash registers. Through hard work and dedication, he rose through the ranks and ultimately retired as the Chief Financial Officer of US Shoe, a testament to his remarkable work ethic and leadership.

Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Thursday, September 26th from 9:30AM until 10:30AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. James of the Valley 411 Springfield Pike, Wyoming, at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Edward John Klee's life was marked by dedication to his family, his faith, his country, and his career. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
