Fr. Joseph Ricchini, OFM, 94, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Cincinnati, after a brief illness. Born on Jan. 12, 1932, in Philadelphia to Joseph and Mary (née Russo) Ricchini, Fr. Joe attended Southeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia. He then entered the U.S. Air Force and worked as a radar mechanic from 1951 to 1954. He joined the Order of Friars Minor on Aug. 15, 1955. He was ordained to the priesthood on June 5, 1964. Until his retirement in 2008, he worked in parishes, as a counselor, spiritual guide and retreat director. Visitation for Fr. Joe will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at St. Clement Catholic Church, 4536 Vine St., Cincinnati, OH 45217, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.
