HERBST, Geneva (nee Spratt). Beloved wife of the late Carl Herbst. Dear mother of William (Bernice) Harless and Wanda Lee. Loving grandmother of Gena Celesti, Tony Harless and Melissa Burris. Great-grandmother of 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. Dear aunt of Ronald L. (Brenda) Spratt and great-aunt to Justin (Lorrisa) Spratt and many other nieces and nephews. Passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012, age 89. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Friday from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
