Gloria J. Moor

Gloria Jean Moor, age 92, passed away peacefully at her home in West Chester OH on January 14, 2026. Gloria was the loving daughter of the late Stanley and Theresa Jeffery. Mother of Karen Ortman (David), Mary Wersel (Bill), Sandy Snyder (Ken) and the late Bluford Moor. She is survived by 7 grandchildren: Abby Shaner (Eric), Billy Wersel (Kelly), Kristi Coe (Charlie), Jessica Hoover (Phillip), Sam Snyder, Amy Parker (Jeff) and Tessa Duhon (Chris). She has 11 great grandchildren who affectionately called her “Grandma Kitty Cat”: Bash, Indie, Grady, Elwood, Beau, Ginny, Winnie, Rowan, Liam, Ruby and Josie. She graduated from Michigan State and was proud of her years in the math department and on the tennis team. She taught piano lessons for many years. Her love of plants and animals were a big part of her life. She will be sorely missed by her family.

Gloria stayed active for many years by traveling, golfing, hiking, biking, going to concerts, and movies. She enjoyed games of all sorts. She played bridge for many years and enjoyed getting together with a close group of friends for dinner and cards who always teased her by heading her game tally column “Gloria Cheats!”

Gloria especially loved the company of her favorite travel and adventure buddy Dennis Beatty. Their daily lunches and evening TV dates were the highlight of her days for many, many years.

Karen, Mary and Sandy would like to thank the many friends who enriched her life with kindness and laughter. And extra thanks to her neighbors Birdie and Ron who looked out for her and supported her every day so she could stay in her beloved home.

Visitation will be Thursday January 22nd from 10:00-11:00 at St. Johns church in West Chester OH. with mass to follow.
