Harry Edward Gilligan, 91, of Cincinnati and formerly Bradenton and Ocala, FI, died peacefully on April 17, 2023 at Brookwood Retirement Community in Blue Ash, Ohio.
Harry was born on December 2, 1931in Cincinnati, Ohio to John and Pearl Gilligan (nee Walker). He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol Gilligan (nee Kleinberg), and son-in-law Terry Abaray. Harry is survived by his daughters Sharon (Gary) Sadler, Janet (late Terry) Abaray, brother John Howard (Millie) Gilligan, 4 grandchildren, Michael (Leah) Sadler, Daniel (Jessica) Sadler, Julie (Kent) McCullough, John (Ashley) Abaray, and great-grandchildren Eddie and Luke Abaray, Jackson and Kellen McCullough, and Ruby Sadler.
Harry was a US Army Veteran, and managed the Cincinnati Court Index Press until his retirement in 1993. The family would like to thank the staffs at Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle, Ocala FI, Hospice of Marion County (FI), Brookwood Retirement Center, and Hospice of Southwestern Ohio for the excellent care provided to Harry.
Graveside Service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd, Montgomery, Ohio on Friday, May 12 at 11:00 AM.
