Henry E. Wedig, Jr., MD, beloved husband of the late Marilyn S. Wedig, loving father of Karen (Casey) Schulz, Stephanie (Lanny) Cruse, Beverly (Tom) Feie, David (Megan) Wedig and Douglas (Kathleen) Wedig, grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, passed away June 30, 2023 at the age of 92.
Hank earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati, where he met Marilyn, who would become his wife of 68 years. He served as a doctor in the Army in Germany from 1958-1960 and in family practice in Cincinnati from 1960 until his retirement in 1994. Hank and Marilyn raised their 5 children in the Village of Mariemont. Upon retiring, he enjoyed spending vacations on Hilton Head Island with his children and grandchildren, traveling the world with Marilyn and being involved in many activities with friends.
Other than his family, one of Hank’s proudest achievements was being a founding board member of Miami Valley Christian Academy. He and Marilyn, along with five other couples, gave their time, talent, and treasure to create a school with the mission of impacting minds and hearts for Christ. The school has grown significantly over its 27 years and has made a difference for hundreds of families.
