Hobert Douglas Short

On April 22, 2026, Hobert Douglas Short left the earth to join his beloved wife Rae Ann Short (2010) in Heaven. He was surpassed by one daughter Lisa Zarobell. He is survived by his children Ellen Croce, Gina Hicks, Heather Short, Kim Rye, Alina Short and Ray Casagrande. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, surpassed by 1 and 8 great grandchildren! Hobert loved life. He was a veteran of the United States Airforce from October of 1972 to October of 1976. He loved teaching all his grandchildren different things. He was a track coach for Hamilton track Club in the 80’s. He was a good son, father and husband. He was very faithful in his religious beliefs. Helped his fellow neighbors. Loved by those who knew him well. Visitation will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at Hodapp Funeral Home 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. West Chester, OH 45069 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m.
