Ivan Dean Wesley, at the age of 57, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday January 28 after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jennifer Wesley, his three children Vanessa Mayberry (m. Maxwell Mayberry), Caleb Wesley and Josiah Wesley, and two of his siblings Pat Hubbard and Danin Wesley.
Ivan Dean was a devout Christian and had a very close relationship to his church. He was a successful business owner of Emaculawn most of his life, providing jobs for some of his family. He loved to fish, play guitar, listen to gospel and bluegrass music, watch his kids play baseball, and spend time with his family. He was an avid reader and loved John Grisham books. He loved The Hobbit, Harry Potter movies and John Wayne movies, his favorite being Angel and the Badman.
Ivan Dean was a selfless, gregarious, strong and gentle person. He maintained several friendships throughout decades and was close with his entire family. Ivan was always thinking of others and was extremely generous. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation is on Tuesday, February 3 at Hodapp Funeral Home 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd, West Chester Ohio 45069 from 5pm until 7pm, with the funeral service following at 7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to a trust that will be set up afterwards. Please reach out to the family for more information.
