James "Jim" Caveman

Jim was born in Cincinnati May 3, 1931. The family moved to Chicago when he was in his mid-teens. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in1948 during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1952. He and Carolyn met in Washington DC while he was in the Marines. They got married in 1952 and moved to Cincinnati to live. He spent most of his working career at the Sheffer Corporation and retired as Vice President after 35 years. He was a long-time member of the Northeast Church of Christ, serving the congregation as an elder for many years.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, children Jim Jr. (Marilyn), John (Mary), Trish (Andy) Burkhart, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister Sally (Pete Cattelino) Zapatka, half-sister Linda Phillips, stepbrother Carroll Caldwell, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Northeast Church of Christ, 12020 Southwick Ln, Cincinnati, OH 45241.
