James R., survived by his wife of 62 ½ years, Marilyn (Shockley). Loving father of Donna McAfee and Sharon (Kevin) Beaver . Dear grandfather of Curt McAfee, Janelle (Brian) McAfee Claprood, Doug (Carrie Anne) Beaver and Bryan Beaver. Great-grandfather of 8. Passed away January 8, 2014 at the age of 84. James served the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of Beckett Ridge Country Club where he played golf for 33 years. Visitation will be held at the Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester, Monday, January 13 from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 12 noon. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
