James K Sallee

James K. Sallee,  known to his loved ones as Jim, passed away Tuesday October 3rd, 2023 at the age of 75.   He was born April 15th, 1948 in Sandusky, Ohio.  Jim was an avid sports fan.  He loved baseball, football, golf and horse racing.  He was also an amazing poker and blackjack player.  He competed in many tournaments in Vegas and Atlantic City.  He loved cars and in his early years raced at Queen City frequently.  From his very early teens he began working on cars with his brother Gary.  After graduating highschool , and while still working a night shift mechanic job he opened a body shop and engine repair in Pisgah Ohio with his brother Gary.  Sallee Bros was in business for many years.  After moving on from his first business, he opened his first Quick Lube in 1990, with a second one following in 2005.  Both are still running today.  Over the years Jim helped many, whether it be a job, a loan, a car or any other type of help.  He helped shape many young men into becoming hard workers and good mechanics over the years. 

Jim is preceded in death by his mother Sue E. Sallee (2002),  his brother Gary M. Sallee (1973), and his neice Kathy Holcomb (2001).   He is survived by his Sister Sandy Holcomb (Ed) ,  his Daughter Angela N. Sallee, son James M. Sallee, Grandson and apple of his eye Ryder Post,  grandaugter Elena Post, two neices and many close friends. 

James attended St. Michaels Primary School, Union Elementary and Graduated From Lakota High School in 1966. 

Visistation will be held Tuesday at 10 am with a service to follow at 11 am at Hodapp Funeral Home, located at 8815 Cincinnati Columbus Rd, West Chester, Ohio 45069
We will have a Memorial Gathering after burial from 1-4 at the Reading Terraqua Club , located at 7713 Dimmick Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241
