Jim H. Weidus

WEIDUS, James “Jim” H. Beloved husband of Donna M. Weidus (nee Tackett) for 50 years. Devoted father of Sean Weidus, Stephanie (Victor) Brown and Robert Peterson. Loving grandfather of Solomon, Dezstany and Elijah. Dear brother of Bill (Barb) Weidus and Dick Weidus. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim was a volunteer firefighter for Golf Manor Station #47 for 40 years. He was a dedicated husband, father, coach and papaw to many. Jim also enjoyed sports, especially the Bengals where he would say, “I’m a football fan stuck in Cincinnati!” Jim passed away September 26, 2023 at the age of 71. Visitation will take place at the Hodapp Funeral Home 7401 Vine St., Carthage, Monday, October 2nd from 5PM until 7PM. Funeral Service will take place at Crossroad Church 3500 Madison Rd., Oakley, Tuesday, October 3^rd at 11AM in the chapel. Interment will follow immediately at Spring Grove Cemetery 4521 Spring Grove Ave. Following the service at the cemetery, in honor of Jim, we will be gathering for a special "TAILGATING" event, a reflection of his vibrant spirit, at Stephanie's house. It is our way of commemorating the joy he brought into our lives and the cherished memories we hold dear. Your presence and support during this difficult time mean the world to us. Let us come together to remember, cherish, and celebrate the life of a truly extraordinary individual.
