Janet Catherina-Maria Johnson, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on May 14, 2025, at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on May 26, 1985, in Frankfort, Germany, and brought joy and laughter into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Janet was the embodiment of a wild spirit, characterized by her intelligence, beauty, and captivating sense of humor. Friends and family alike cherished the happiness that she radiated, and her generous heart was evident in her love for her children and her desire to help others. Janet’s passion for life was reflected in her hobbies; she delighted in doing her nails and hair and took immense pleasure in capturing precious moments of her family through photography.
She is survived by her two beloved children, Landen and Rylee, who were the center of her life. Janet also leaves behind her mother, Dorothea Gardner, who nurtured and supported her throughout her journey. The bonds of sisterhood remain strong with her sister, Micheala Patterson, and her family, including her niece Carly (JJ) and her children, Arial and Arora; her nephew Christian (Alissa) and their children, Everett and Eleanor; as well as Alexis and her daughter, Ariana; and the youngest, Aidan Patterson. Additionally, her big brother, Dennis Johnson (Lindsey) blessed her life with their children: Kayla, Phoenix (daughter, Eliana), and Camden. Janet’s extended family includes many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Janet was a compassionate soul who had an enduring impact on those around her, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. In a final act of generosity, she chose to be an organ donor, providing the gift of life to others in need.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Johnson, whose memory will remain a source of strength for those she leaves behind. Janet's vibrant presence will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will live on in the cherished memories held by her family and friends. Her laughter, warmth, and love will always be remembered.
