Janice was born to Richard and Lois Witte (nee Naltner) on June 16, 1937. Her early life was in Westwood, Ohio, with a brief period in Ironton, Ohio. In her teens, the family resided in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky. She entered nursing at St. Elizabeth’s school of nursing in Covington, Kentucky. Upon graduating, she worked at St. Elizabeth’s hospital in Ft. Thomas. A term was spent at Good Samaritan Hospital, and it was there that she was introduced to pediatrics. She went to work at Springdale Pediatrics where she spent the rest of her career. In 1959, she married Robert A. Oehler. She is survived by her husband and her two children, Robert R. Oehler and Gregory M. Oehler, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Religion always played an important part in her life. She was one of the first Cursillo Movement members in Cincinnati and was an active member in teaching others of the greatness of God, in prayer meetings and in her daily life until the end.
