Jacqueline Marie Madden (age 62), of Cincinnati, Ohio, died at home on July 29, 2025 after an extended illness. She went by Jackie and was the type of person who knew what she wanted and expressed it without filter. She was the adored baby girl of her parents who loved a good time with family and friends.
Born on April 5, 1963 to John R. (Jack) and Carolyn L. Madden, Jackie was the baby girl of the family. Her childhood was filled with laughter, attention, and the unique bond of being raised not only by her mom and dad, but by her adoring three older sisters. Jackie was lovingly toted along to family outings, her sisters’ dates, and adult gatherings — always at the center of the fun.
In 1981, Jackie graduated from Deer Park and Scarlet Oaks High School and went on to build a lasting legacy in the food service industry. For almost 40 years, Jackie was a devoted member of the Blue Ash Skyline Chili team. She formed deep and lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike, becoming a well-liked fixture in the community she served with heart and hard work.
Jackie had a style all her own — unapologetic, colorful, and vibrant. She loved a good party, never turned down a puzzle, could rock a purple leather skirt, jammed to Cher’s Turn Back Time, and always had something of deep conviction to say about the world around her. Later in life, she prioritized quiet time at home and surrounded herself with a close circle of friends whom she fiercely protected and loved.
She was, above all, the cherished daughter of her parents. Jackie lived with them well into adulthood, and the tenderness between them never faded. Each day before work, her mother would gently braid her hair — a simple, loving ritual that speaks volumes about their bond. The love between Jackie and her mom was deep and abiding, and we find peace in knowing they are now reunited, embraced once again in love.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Carolyn, and her nephew, Christopher Matacia. She is survived by her sisters (Darlene, Karen [and James Matacia], and Tina), her nieces and nephews (Nicole, Melissa, Gina Marie [and Mark], John David [and Christina], and Shannon), and their families. Donations in her name can be made to the American Lung Association
Jackie will be missed by her family, close friends, community members, and her Skyline colleagues. The family is grateful to her friends and the leadership of Blue Ash Skyline who provided meaningful support to her as she navigated her health issues.
