Obituary

Jayden Zurlinden, a young man whose spirit was as vibrant as the melodies he aspired to create, passed away on June 9, 2026, at the age of 20. Born on June 4, 2006, Jayden's life was a testament to resilience, passion, and unwavering dedication.

A graduate of Lakota West High School in 2024, Jayden taught himself how to play music, and later pursued his love for music through the School of Rock, nurturing a dream to become a musician. Beyond his musical aspirations, Jayden was a remarkable athlete, a two-time state wrestling champion who exemplified determination and never gave up, earning admiration from all who knew him. He loved guitars and music deeply, fusing these passions with a profound devotion to his family and friends.

Jayden was known for his sweetness and the deep care he showed those he loved. His affection extended generously to his nieces and nephews – Alaia, Saint, and Kyren – who brought unparalleled joy to his life. So strong was this bond that he chose to fulfill a wish at 19 to visit Disney just to be with them, a testament to their importance to him.

Jayden is survived by his devoted parents, Jay and Cassie Zurlinden, and his siblings Chrystian Frey (Alana), Gabby Zurlinden (Faibeon), Kylie (Dayvon), Brayden Zurlinden, Naveah Lewis, and Chloe Zurlinden, and his late mother Brandi Heller. He was also lovingly connected to his grandparents: Alice and Jim Zurlinden, Rob and Kimberly Britton, Randall Heller, and Kim Britton.

His legacy is marked not only by his achievements and talents but also by the countless friendships he cherished. Jayden had more friends than anyone could ever imagine, each of whom was touched by his kind heart and generous spirit.
